Music & Madness with Tom & John
Music & Madness is a podcast and live music series based in The Villages, Florida, featuring on-stage performances, in-depth interviews, artist spotlights, and ticketed shows. The show blends conversation and live music to create an engaging experience for both online audiences and in-person attendees.

During a six-month engagement, I partnered with the podcast to establish its digital foundation and accelerate early growth. At the time, the hosts were entering the podcast space with limited experience in digital marketing and were looking for strategic guidance to build brand awareness, grow an audience, and promote live events across digital platforms.
Website Design & Development
I designed and developed the Music & Madness website to serve as the central hub for the podcast and live music series. The site featured a show trailer, host bios, contact information, an integrated merchandise shop, and an events calendar, giving fans a single destination to explore content, discover upcoming shows, and engage with the brand.

The website was built with usability and flexibility in mind, allowing content to evolve alongside the show. During the engagement, I provided regular analytics reporting and performance insights to help guide content decisions and audience growth. I also designed and managed monthly email campaigns to deliver episode announcements, event promotions, and updates directly to subscribers.

Content Strategy & Production
I developed a short-form content strategy focused on growing awareness and reaching new audiences across platforms most relevant to the podcast’s demographic, including TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook. Each episode was structured with repurposing in mind, allowing long-form conversations and live performances to be transformed into high-impact short clips.

I handled video editing, caption writing, headline optimization, and visual formatting, highlighting standout moments that encouraged discovery and sharing. This approach maximized the value of each recording session while creating a consistent publishing rhythm that supported sustained audience growth during the engagement period.
Social Media Management
I managed the podcast’s TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook channels, overseeing content distribution, scheduling, and optimization. Posts were geo-targeted to The Villages and the hometowns of featured artists to increase local relevance and engagement.

I handled hashtag strategy, SEO-focused captions, and posting cadence while actively engaging with the audience through comments, stories, and cross-promotion with similar podcasts and music brands. This approach helped expand organic reach, strengthen community engagement, and establish Music & Madness as a recognizable presence within its niche during its early growth phase.

Live Event Photography
& Coverage
I documented the first Music & Madness live show, featuring the band Dead Radio and a sold-out audience of 250 guests in The Villages, Florida. Coverage included pre-show moments, live performances, and audience reactions, capturing the energy and atmosphere of the event.

The final images were edited and delivered within days, creating a high-quality asset library that supported ongoing digital promotion, social media content, and event marketing. These visuals elevated the show’s presentation and reinforced its credibility as both a podcast and live music experience.
